The Universal Peace Walk 1543AD offers a unique opportunity to retrace a historical pilgrimage route through the picturesque towns and villages of Malta. This walk is designed to be an immersive experience, combining historical significance with the beauty of the Maltese landscape. It also serves as excellent training for future long-distance hikes or Caminos.
The route of the Universal Peace Walk 1543AD® is a carefully curated route that connects several old medieval towns and villages, including Mdina, Rabat, Zebbug, Siggiewi, San Niklaw, Hal Manin (Qrendi), Zurrieq (which encompasses Hal Far and Wied Hlantun), Bir Miftuh (Gudja), Ghaxaq (historically part of Zejtun), and Zejtun itself. The Camino Maltes, on the other hand, follows the same route but starts earlier, in Rabat, and ends later in Fort St Angelo, Birgu.
