Training for a Camino? Or re-uniting with Camino buddies from a previous walk? Why don’t you join us on the 3-day Melitae Mariana? Journey over land and sea in Malta and Gozo from the Southeast Punic harbour of Marsaxlokk (starting at tas-Silg) to the Northwest village of Gharb (ending at Santwarju ta’ Pinu) on this 3-day Marian Camino.
The route commences in Marsaxlokk (Tas-Silg Sanctuary or Pompei Parish church) and continues, over 2 days, through Rabat and Mdina to the Sanctuary of Our Lady in Mellieha, visiting various Marian devotions throughout the ages in Malta. On the 3rd day pilgrims walk from Ghajnsielem (Our Lady of Loreto and Our Lady of Lourdes, through Qala (Immaculate Conception), the Citadel (Santa Maria) towards Ta Pinu Sanctuary in the limits of Gharb.
We will park our cars in Mellieha and transport will take us to tas-Silg to commence the Melitae Mariana Camino.

- 3-day Camino (Fri – Sun) link: Includes (a.) transport from Mellieha to tas-Silg (b.) 1 night accommodation (17th to 18th Jan) in Rabat with dinner and breakfast. (we walk to our cars once in Mellieha). (c.) transport in Gozo from Ta’ Pinu Sanctuary back to Mgarr Harbour. (Note: We are not including accommodation between 18th and 19th Jan before departing to Gozo). Cost: € 75 for twin-sharing basis accommodation and € 90 for single supplement.
- 2-Day | Malta Segment only (Fri – Sat) Link: (a.) transport from Mellieha to tas-Silg (b.) 1 night accommodation (17th to 18th Jan) in Rabat with dinner and breakfast. (we walk to our cars once in Mellieha). Cost: € 65 for twin-sharing basis accommodation and € 80 for single supplement.
- 1-Day Camino | Gozo Segment link: € 10 per person, covering transport back to Cirkewwa or € 5 per person without transport.
All options include a Credencial, testimonium and camino leaders.
