Stefan Cassar, “A Different Scotland” Camino

This was my first time joining XirCammini on one of their Caminos abroad. I had heard many positive comments from previous participants, and after experiencing it myself, I can wholeheartedly confirm each review.
It was a flawlessly organised trip, made even more special by a group of genuinely selfless people who transformed it from a memorable holiday into an experience that truly touched the soul. It was a journey that nourished the body, refreshed the mind, and uplifted the soul, incorporating the spiritual element into it all. The perfect escape from everyday routine, allowing me to return home feeling renewed, inspired, and wearing a genuine smile.
Our Camino took us from Aberdeen to Edinburgh, along the eastern coast of Scotland. The scenery was simply breathtaking. Every step invited us to immerse ourselves more deeply in nature. We walked alongside long, unspoilt beaches, through fields bursting with colourful wildflowers, and past countless sheep, cows, and horses, all living in harmony with the rhythm of nature. The charming houses, with their porches beautifully adorned with flowers, and the campsites nestled close to the shoreline blended perfectly into the landscape, creating an atmosphere of peace and tranquillity that was impossible not to admire.
I am immensely grateful to XirCammini, and especially to James, for organising every detail of the trip so meticulously and for leading the group with warmth, and quiet confidence. His guidance made us all feel safe and well cared for throughout the journey.
Finally, I would like to thank every member of the group. Your friendship, laughter, encouragement, and companionship made this Camino far more than just a walk through Scotland. It became an unforgettable shared experience that I will treasure for years to come.
