4 days of hiking, nature, good food and wine and great fun!
Combining trekking in Valle del Belice (with its Olive Oil and Pecorino DOP), sleeping at Santa Maria del Bosco Abbey at the foothills of Monte Genuardo in the Sican mountains; a mediaval abbey converted into a sublime Relais with excellent hospitality. After the weekend in Abbazia Santa Maria del Bosco we finish our hiking tour with a day exploring Palermo.
The 4-day trekking itinerary organised by VaiColTrekking covers:
- A day of trekking in Valle del Belice after landing in Trapani- Marsala on Friday 20th October 2023;
- In the evening we join other hikers at Abbazia Santa Maria del Bosco for a week-end of hiking including Monte Genuardo, the Sican foothills and Lake Arancio;
- Monday is dedicated to urban trekking and sight-seeing with a guide in Palermo
before returning to the airport for our return flight to Malta from Trapani- Marsala.
Price: includes all local transport in Sicily, guide in Palermo, the weekend programme of trekking at Abbazia Santa Maria del Bosco, Monte Genuardo and Lake Arancio and trekking in Valle del Belice, accommodation and meals. The price does not include air-travel from / to Malta / Trapani. (Price: Euros 550, of which Euros 280 cover the weekend at the Abbazia as advertised on the VaiColTrekking website. Deposit: Euros 150) on a twin or double room sharing basis.
