Embark on a journey of literary, historic and spiritual significance between Rochester (home to Charles Dickens) and Canterbury in the footsteps of Chaucer’s Canterbury Tales in Kent, the Garden of England.

Intriguing historic and religious personalities include St Augustine of Britain, King John, Thomas Becket, John Fisher, Thomas Moore, the Holy Maid of Kent, Christopher Marlowe and the setting for some of William Shakespeare’s plays, such as King Lear and Henry V. So much of this comes alive during our Camino in Kent.

The Camino is less than 100km long and is from the Cathedral of Rochester (England’s second oldest Cathedral) to Canterbury Cathedral (England’s oldest Cathedral).

Flight details

Applicants are to book their own flights. These are the suggested flights:

• Tuesday 7th July 2026: Malta – London Heathrow KM100 07:05 – 09:45. This allows us sufficient time to visit Rochester at leisure on arrival in United Kingdom.
• Sunday 12th July 2026: London Heathrow – Malta KM103 20:30 – 00:50 (+1). This allows us a day (between our arrival the day before and the whole morning after) to visit enjoy Canterbury.

Price | Deposit

Applicants will receive an invoice with the price payable in two instalments (deposit and balance) with dates indicated on the invoice.  The price of this trip covers local airport transfer/transport and daily baggage transfers in the United Kingdom and accommodation on a shared, twin-room B&B basis (single supplement can be quoted if requested). The price also includes extensive local training, an information session, and a trek leader.
