Camino Del Norte (Camino de Santiago)
March 19, 2020 - March 27, 2020
Open only to XirCammini Members.
From Vilalba to Santiago ⎸ This is the last leg on the Camino del Norte bound for Santiago de Compostela.
Dates are tentative based on demand by members and availability of flights. Tentatively we are looking at 19th or 20th to the 26th or 27th March 2020.
From Villaalba we enter Terra Chá (Galicia) walking walking through mainly farms, villages and woodlands towards Baamonde. This is a region renowned for its diary and cheese.
The next hamlet to walk through is that of Miraz. In Summer 2020 XirCammini has been entrusted with the Volunteer Hospitalero work for the donativo albergue in Miraz for 1 month. The albergue is managed by the UK Confraternity of St. James.
Our next stage would be Sobrado dos Monxes traversing some high panoramic points.
At Arzua we meet up with the pilgrims from the Camino Francés, proceeding to Amenal and onward to Santiago de Compostela.
The event is open only to XirCammini Members and is not covered by the MTA Insolvency Fund.
XirCammini is a membership-based NGO. We are neither a travel agency nor a tour operator. As a membership-based association, collectively, we are a consumer and, where applicable, utilize the services of authorized travel agents and/or tour companies.
An information meeting on upcoming member events will be held in late November for XirCammini members wherein dates and individual contributions would be firmed up.
