Camino Norte: Vilalba to Santiago de Compostela

XirCammini has been leading Caminos in Spain and beyond since 2018! XirCammini is not a tour operator. We are a voluntary association dedicated to heritage and faith hiking. XirCammini gave Santiago one of its longest Caminos, the 3,600km Camino Maltes from Malta, through Sicily, Sardinia and Catalunya to Santiago de Compostela.

We team up with licensed tour operators so that all you have to do is walk and enjoy yourself. We’ll handle the rest. Our Camino groups in Spain are typically small (8 – 12 persons) so that the experience is more meaningful.

Our Camino Norte starts from Vilalba, in Terra Chá, walking mainly through farms, villages, and woodlands in a region renowned for its dairy, agriculture, wine and serenity. On our journey, we go through Baamonde, Miraz, Sobrado dos Monxes with its Cistercian monastery, and Arzua and Amenal before reaching Santiago de Compostela.

The total contribution (including the deposit) is €775 and this covers

1. Airport transfers from Porto Airport, Portugal, to the first accommodation in Vilalba, Spain and from the last accommodation in Spain to Porto Airport.
2. Daily baggage transfers (max 15 kg cabin bag per person) during the Camino
3. Accommodation in twin/double sharing accommodation on bed and breakfast basis. A choice of accommodations include family-run hotels, Casa/Hotel Rural, pensions and a monastery. Single supplement possible. Drop us an email for additional cost.
4. Shell, credencial, assistance in obtaining the Compostela certificate.
5. An experienced Camino leader with you throughout.
6. Camino Teeshirt for this specific event.
7. Training in Malta.

We will then follow up with an acknowledgement and request to settle the booking deposit (Eur 275). The Eur 500 would then be settled closer to the date of travel.
