On Good Friday we are holding a walk in Gozo.
Let’s meet in time to catch the 07:30 a.m. ferry from Cirkewwa. Or, if you are already in Gozo, let’s meet at 08:15 a.m. in the Mgarr, Gozo, Passenger terminal next to the coffee counter.
Transport will take us to Gharb and from there we will hike to Ta’ Pinu Sanctuary and up the Via Crucis. Once done from Ta’ Pinu will continue around Wied il-Mielah to Qbajjar and is Salvatur, Marsalforn.
Transport will collect us 15:00ish to take us back to the ferry in Mgarr.
Bring with you (or buy in the ferry terminus) a sufficient supply of water and the food/nibbles you require along the route. Bring with you a sun cap (and depending on weather forecast a packable raincoat).
For those who wish to do the Good Friday visits/prayers, there will be an opportunity to do so in Gharb Church + ta’ Pinu Church plus along the Via Crucis ascent. Needless to say, this is personal prayer/reflection and not obligatory on others who are just looking forward to a hike and the social interaction. The important thing is that we are respectful of each other’s choices.
