Camino Conference and Fair | P344 | Rabat, Malta

XirCammini will be hosting the 2025 General Assembly of Camino Europa Compostela, the European Federation of Camino Associations in May 2025. To mark this auspicious event, a number of other events, including an Ecumenical Service, Movie Premiere, Exhibition, Fair and Conference will be incorporated in this weekend. Camino afficionados, hikers, ramblers and the public in general will be invited to participate. XirCammini thanks Malta Tourism Authority, Heritage Malta, the Archbishop’s Seminary, XirCammini volunteers and Camino personalities for their assistance, whether financial, technical, logistical or intellectual.

 

  1. Friday or Saturday 23rd/24th May: Overseas delegate arrive | check-in at their accommodation at the Archbishop’s Seminary (St George Preca building) or other designated accommodation.
  2. Saturday, 24th May: Throughout the day check-in continues
  3. Saturday 24th May: 19:00 Official welcome of overseas delegates and guests from Camino Europa Compostela and other associations and screening of the Movie “The Way | My Way” at Spazju Kreattiv, St James Cavalier, Valletta (thanks to Heritage Malta) with the participation of the author, Bill Bennett. (Open to the public subject to registration)
  4. Sunday, 25th May: 09:45 Official Inauguration of the 1-day Conference and Fair at  St. Paul’s Missionary College, Rabat. [10:00 – 16:00, open to the public, subject to registration]
  5. Sunday, 25th May: 19:00: Ecumenical Service at Oratory of St. John’s Co-Cathedral, Valletta. [by invitation], by kind invitation of the Rector of St. John’s Co-Cathedral.
  6. Monday, 26th May: 09:30 General Assembly of Camino Europa Compostela followed by the first meeting of the Board of Directors [closed sessions].
  7. A Spouses’ / partners’ itinerary will also run parallel to the general assembly sessions.

    • Accommodation (maximum 1 delegate on single supplement basis or 2 delegates or main delegate and spouse in double/twin-sharing basis) from Saturday 24th – Tuesday 27th May 2025
    • Spouse / Partner Program: 1-day tour and site entrance/s
    • Free. Kindly sponsored by Malta Tourism Authority.
    • For any additional nights (23rd or 27th May) the cost per person is €50 on a bed and breakfast basis.
