Fortunata Pisani, “A Different Scotland” Camino
Scotland was once again a feast for my eyes and my soul.
Walking along the East Coast and leaving our footprints from Aberdeen with its magnificent university and remarkable surroundings, through Montrose, Stonehaven, Arbroath, Lunan Bay, and finally to the awe-inspiring ruins of St Andrews Cathedral, was an unforgettable journey. Together with a wonderful small group we experienced everything from misty mornings and overcast days to brilliant sunshine, from cool breezes to moments of perfect calm, each revealing a different face of this extraordinary land.
Historic towns steeped in centuries of history, imposing castles, ancient churches, breathtaking landscapes, dramatic coastlines, golden sandy and rocky beaches, picturesque fishing harbours, abundant wildlife, and the tranquillity of seemingly endless nature all came together to create unforgettable memories. Scotland’s beauty is not imagined; it is real, authentic, and there for all to see.
A heartfelt thanks goes to James Portelli & Tucc, whose meticulous planning, preparation, and flawless logistics made this adventure truly exceptional. Their dedication transformed an already beautiful journey into an unforgettable experience. A heartfelt thanks to Fr Walter for celebrating Holy Mass each day throughout our journey. Truly grateful.
