DESCRIPTION:Camino on the Camino de Santiago in Romania (20260919R\, Level: Mod/Hard) Meeting Place: 2 hours before the flight at the airport \nRomanian Way of St James | Camino de România\nFollow this link to register for the event \nWhile the traditional Camino de Santiago routes in Spain are well-established with extensive infrastructure\, the “Camino de România” offers a distinct experience. It winds through picturesque villages and vibrant cities\, showcasing Romania’s diverse natural beauty\, from dense forests to rolling hills and mountain foothills. Pilgrims can explore well-preserved medieval castles\, fortified churches\, and ancient citadels en-route. \nThe route also provides an opportunity for cultural immersion\, with welcoming locals sharing their traditions\, folklore\, and crafts. Culinary delights are a significant part of the journey\, allowing pilgrims to savour traditional Romanian cuisine and local wines. Accommodation along the “Camino de România” often involves staying in picturesque villages\, offering an authentic pilgrim experience. \nFlight details \nApplicants will be informed of these. The dates indicated in the event Calendar are tentative and may vary slightly\, depending on the availability of flights. The dates below indicate the “time window”. \nIndicated dates: Saturday\, 19th to 26th September 2026. \nNote: XirCammini is a membership-based Camino/hiking association and not a travel agency. Hence\, XirCammini does not book flights. Where applicable\, XirCammini engages Walk.mt Ltd or other licensed travel operators for licensed incoming/outgoing travel agency requirements. \nPrice | Deposit \nApplicants will receive an invoice with the price payable in three instalments (deposit\, 1st and 2nd instalment) with dates indicated on the invoice.  The price of this trip covers local transport and daily baggage transfers in Romania and accommodation on a shared\, twin-room B&B basis (single supplement can be quoted if requested).
