We will collect these from you during this event on 15th Dec to deliver to the Bormla Parish on 17th December. This is an initiative driven by John Darmanin. Thank you John. \nHow does the Charity Event Work?\nWe do not collect money. We ask each of you (this is entirely voluntary) to set aside + – Eur20 and you use them to purchase some items\, typically 1 item of babyware (i.e. bag of nappies? baby bath-products?)\, 1 item of sanitary-ware (i.e. soap\, talcum powder\, shampoo or sanitary pads for young adoloscents) and an item or two of non-parishable food (i.e. a few tins of food or packets of e.g. UHT milk or juice). SUMMARY:Official Launch of the Camino Maltés Project | Press Conference
DESCRIPTION:The Camino de Santiago\, also known as the Way of St James\, is a 1000 year old plus network of pilgrims’ ways leading to the shrine of the apostle Saint James the Great in the cathedral of Santiago de Compostela in Galicia in northwestern Spain. It is done by more than 300\,000 people on averageper year and may be completed via a pan-European network of routes. \nMalta was missing from this network\, however\, through a joint initiative between the Government of Malta and Xircammini\, Malta is now connected to the world-famous Camino de Santiago de Compostela. In fact Malta now has it’s own pilgrim route titled Camino Maltés de Santiago de Compostela\, (in short Camino Maltés) which has been justified on historical grounds. The Camino Maltés starts internally from Rabat to Birgu\, then to Sicily\, Sardinia\, Barcelona and ultimately ends at Santiago de Compostela in Galicia\, Spain. \nThe scope of this information session is to provide information on: (i) the work required to produce the ‘Camino Maltés\, (ii) historical details identified along the way\, (iii) technical details for interested pilgrims and (iv) Government’s vision in utilizing the Camino Maltés as a vehicle to promote Malta’s multi-millennial Christian faith and in expanding the Archipelago’s potential as an international hub for faith tourism. \nWe’d love to have you with us at the event. DESCRIPTION:Christmas Drinks at St. Joseph Band Club\, Zebbug. \nFinger food will include a wide selection e.g. pastizzi\, sausage roll\, pizza\, arancini\, meatballs\, vol-a-vent\, sandwiches\, stuffed artichokes\, stuffed olives\, gammon\, chicken gelatine\, chicken teriyaki\, sweet chili roll\, roast pork cake. \nA contribution of €10 per person is required for the finger food and everyone then purchases his/her own drinks from the bar.
