It blends natural\, historical\, and spiritual sites\, ancient paths\, mule tracks\, and secondary roads\, offering a journey through diverse landscapes and sites connected with the life of St Francis. \n   \nRoute Summary \nThe Northern Way of St. Francis begins at the Sanctuary of La Verna and ends in Assisi\, passing through Pieve Santo Stefano\, Citta di Castello\, Gubbio and Valfabbrica \, among other sites tied with the ministry of this humble saint. It is almost 200km long. The route retraces the steps of St. Francis\, who travelled in contemplation to La Verna\, where the humble stalwart of faith received his stigmata. The Way of St. Francis is not just a physical journey but also a spiritual one\, offering opportunities for reflection and contemplation while traversing diverse natural landscapes\, including forests\, olive groves\, and rolling countryside. XirCammini is not a tour operator. We are a voluntary association dedicated to heritage and faith hiking. XirCammini gave Santiago one of its longest Caminos\, the 3\,600km Camino Maltes from Malta\, through Sicily\, Sardinia and Catalunya to Santiago de Compostela. \n  \nWe team up with licensed tour operators so that all you have to do is walk and enjoy yourself. We’ll handle the rest. Our Camino groups in Spain are typically small (8 – 12 persons) so that the experience is more meaningful. \nOur Camino Norte starts from Vilalba\, in Terra Chá\, walking mainly through farms\, villages\, and woodlands in a region renowned for its dairy\, agriculture\, wine and serenity. DESCRIPTION:After the successful trip to Oman in Feb 2025\, we are organising the event again from the 7th – 20th February 2027\, taking advantage of a public holiday. \n \nWe will travelling\, hiking and immersing ourselves in the rich Omani heritage and culture over 9/10 days\, including 4×4 trail-blazing\, trekking\, aqua-trekking\, canyoning\, body-rafting\, via ferrata\, ziplining\, dune hiking\, boat-ride\, swimming/snorkelling\, turtle and dolphin watching\, cultural visits to ancient forts and markets and outdoor adventures. The Sultanate of Oman is one of the largest countries in the Arabian Gulf peninsula\, stretching from the Gulf of Arabia to the Indian Ocean.
